YOUTH COUNSELLOR

Teacher Ben, as he is known, has worked for Kenya Rising since ealy 2019. He is a tutor and education counsellor for primary-school aged children, spending much of his time in the field visiting students at home to give them academic assistance and general encouragement. He holds a Certificate in Primary Teacher Education from Nairobi’s International Teaching and Training College,and he has experience working as a teacher for three different schools in Kajiado County on the outskirts of Nairobi. In his previous roles as a teacher, Ben also volunteered to coordinate student participation in various music and drama festivals. He speaks English, Swahili, and Luhya, and his hobbies include community service, reading books, and learning about inventions and innovations
