COMMUNICATIONS, YOUTH ENGAGEMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER
Beryl fulfills several different functions for Kenya Rising, working on communications with US donors and sponsors while also overseeing matters related to public health for the families we serve, and supervising Healthy Homes renovations for our Basic Needs programming. She is an alumnus of our sponsorship programs and has worked for Kenya Rising since early 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Kenyatta University, where she also earned a Certificate in Leadership and Mentorship. Beryl has work experience with the United Nations in Nairobi, where she was a Program Assistant focused on events organization and budgeting for UN Women – Eastern and Southern Africa Headquarters office. She also worked for ENACTUS-Kenya, a global youth entrepreneurship organization, and she held an industrial attachment with the Nairobi County Public Health Directorate where she did public health inspections and worked in community engagement. In her free time she enjoys travelling, cooking, and doing community work.
