VICE PRESIDENT
I retired from full-time ministry last November and moved from Massachusetts to our new home in Sherman, CT. My daughter, Alexa, was on the first trip to Kakamega in 2003, and her experiences in Kakamega made both of us life-long supporters of the Care Centre Project. I joined the board 12 years ago after co-leading the summer trip to Kakamega in 2008, and have served in various capacities since then including trip leader or coleader for twelve trips to Kakamega, president of the board for six years, and currently vice president as well as Sponsorship and Donor Coordinator. I am inspired to serve because of the biblical imperative to love our neighbors and share what we have with others, as well as the example of love and compassion for the Kenyan people that our founder, Sukie Rice, exemplified.
