Mary joined the CSA Board in 2016 after being a Board Associate since 2009. She is on the donor relations and sponsorship committees. Mary is retired from a 30 year career as a special education teacher. In 2009 she was asked by Alison, the CSA President, to “ write a few thank you letters” to CSA donors. That is now thousands of letters ago. She has been given the title of Chief Gratitude Officer. Mary’s goal is to keep the attitude of gratitude growing and to work with the community of donors and volunteers whose aim it is to provide education for the young adults in the Hamisi and Kakamega area of Kenya. In 2018, I visited the Kakamega Care Center for 3 weeks. Learning more about the programs, meetings high school, University students and staff. Looking forward to returning.
